I have always loved working out, and movement is an everyday part of my life. When living in the city, I spent most of my time taking fitness classes and first met Rick during a bootcamp where he taught two classes a week. Rick brought a lot of energy to his classes and has a personality that makes each person feel seen and strong. After a few sessions, I wanted to get stronger and more focused on my routine and asked Rick to become my personal trainer.
Rick has been a constant in my life and fitness routine ever since. I have moved around with Rick from a gym setting to outdoors and virtual during the pandemic to fully virtual. What I love about working with Rick, and what I tell everyone about him, is that he doesn't just go through the motions. Rick is about the science of it all. He is body positive, high energy but also gets to know you and what your capabilities are and how to optimize your workout for your body composition. He also checks in each time we workout to understand where I am at the moment, both mentally and physically.
Rick was the first trainer who recognized something as simple as me being quad dominant and then readjusted how I tackled squats and lunges making me stronger and more effective. After 5+ years working out with Rick, I feel stronger and I am also much more aware of how I tackle every workout. The convenience of working out at home is also wonderful from a time savings perspective and because I learn new things that I can do with the equipment that I have at home. Even virtually, Rick is able to teach me small adjustments that make a big impact in even my individual workouts and improve my form. I cannot recommend Rick enough and have recommended him to many people!
